{happy birthday to you}

today is little miss Josie's 2nd birthday.
woah.

in honor of this great day i have compiled a picture essay of our time together

@ just 2 months we sat and stared at eachother for 10 days straight. i think that was probably the moment in time when she realized i really am the favorite aunt.

just a few short months later she came all the way out to see me.
boy did we have fun, serious fun.

last spring we took our first roadtrip together

and she taught the "oh no you dint" look which we both perfected during those short two weeks.

later that summer she just couldnt stay away!
we played in the pool all the day long

and even went to the park with Megan once or twice.
(as you can tell she was very pleased with the duck pond)

and this is what happened when she was informed that this summer we will be reunited once again... squeels of delight and crazy handmotions, she could hardly contain herself!

boy, do i miss that cute little face,
i cant wait to pinch those cheeks again

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSIE!
love/your favorite auntie, Lauren

{happy birthday to you}

happy birthday to Katie!
today is her birthday, imagine that!

she is probably my favorite sister in law
(dont tell the other ones, their feelings will be hurt)
anywho, heres the lucky lady herself:

Katie is such a pal
here is why:
she lets me sleep on her living room floor for two weeks at a time
she didnt yell too much when i burned like 10 of her handmade wedding announcements
she makes cute kids
she puts up with the Johnson clan (not an easy task)
she takes time out of her schedule for a couple weeks at a time to fly herself and a screaming toddler out to see us
she loves my brother
(i think) she loves the rest of us too
and boy howdy, do we love her!

happy birthday Brenda! ... i mean Katie

{Happy Birthday Grandma}

today is my grandmas birthday.
it's been 4 months (today, ironicly) and i still miss her like crazy...

*grandma and i this past 4th of July*

i wish she was here to celebrate with us. but alas, people seem to frown on that.
we celebrated in style with a trip to the cemetary (with a used wreath and a fake plant. she'd be mortified... or laughing at our cheapness) followed by lunch and a trip to the shoe store (very grandma approved activites). it was a bitter sweet day indeed.

happy birthday grandma, love you and miss you more everyday
*oodles of loves and hugs*
