{Romeo, take me somewhere we can be alone}

Once upon a time there was a girl. She grew up and moved away to college. One of the first days in her new empty college girl dream apartment she met a boy. He was tall dark and oh so handsome. Secretly, she had a crazy crush on his less tall dark but insanely cute in a dweeby way roommate. But his roommate was dating some other girl. Lame. So the girl fell fast and hard for the boy. Seeing as the boy was the first co-ed to pay any sort of attention to the girl, the girl, being 18 and so young and impressionable, seemed it the smart thing to do to crush him like it was going out of style. Little did she know he was just as young and impressionable. Or maybe she did know and loved lusted after him the same.

Slowly but surely the girls feelings were returned and the two couldn't be seperated. They did crazy things like go to student art shows at the local gallery, hold hands (swoooon), cuddle while watching scary movies (she would pick scary movies for that one reason), and take long endless drives in the middle of the night around the little town that inhabited their institution of higher education. Occasionally she would throw pinecones at his window to summon him to come out and play or to let her in so they could blast London Bridges and Hey There Delilah while dancing like maniacs. It was pure bliss, although last I heard the girl had some weird aversion to both those songs nowadays. They would even eat together in the cafeteria, seeing as they both had meal cards, casually making sure they rearranged their friends in such away that they could sit next to each other and touch their knees together. Crazy, this girl was. Pure crazy. And head. over. heels.

But scared, none the less. There were many a times when the boy had the girl backed up to a wall with the perfect arm up resting on the wall next to her head stance ready to go in for some lip locking action. But that girl, she was tricky. Right before any thing other than blushing could occur she would start to giggle and dip out right underneath his arm with a quick 'catch you on the flip side!'. She tried to live on the wild side, but had a hard time letting go of her silly young and impressionable 18 year old self.

However, the boy and the girl continued their blossoming romance with many trips up the canyon to a special spot overlooking a very special place. The special overlook, their special spot, was often followed with a NASCAR style naseau inducing ride down the canyon to a little cemetary where the boy and girl would walk around reading all the funny head stones from the 18th century about people who were shot down dead in cold blood with their family promising to avenge their death. It was in said cemetary that the girl taught the boy nonchalantly that when she said 'it's cold out here' she really meant 'hold your body against me'. Their walks through the cemetary were generally followed by a longer than needed carride home with the boy singing along to Delilahs Love Songs After Dark.

Could their young and impressionable relationship get any better? Probably not. Afterall, it was practically perfect.

Tragically all good things must come to and end. After an awkward advancement on the boys part in which the girl kicked him out of her room before he could even get out three simple little words (remember? she was scared.) things started to change. She realized the mistake she had made and went to find him to fix it. After many pinecones thrown at the window he finally came out to greet her. Clearly, his male ego had been terribly bruised and for that she felt terrible. But she just couldn't get her mouth to say the words her heart yearned to, no matter how hard she tried and no matter what he had to say about the matter. A few more encounters later and things had officially taken a turn for the worse. Their little college fling had crashed. And burned. And was still smoldering. Awkward awkward smolders.

Fast forward a good six months and the boy leaves on his two year sabatical to the Lord. The girl goes on with her life, crushing on this hottie and that stud muffin, and having weekly lunches with the slightly dweeby roommate of the boy. This went on and on until one day the boy came home from his trip to the south in which he brought the people the good word. The boy and girl had one awkward conversation on the FaceSpace where they talked about his extended stay in a far away state. Strangely, or maybe strategically, the girl forgot to mention in said conversation that in one weeks time she would be making her way to a neighbouring southern state to also take the good word to our southern friends.

She packed up all her belongings and was on her way, with one quick stop at the empty sea to learn the basics of sharing the good word. She went about her business thinking of the boy one, two, make that two, two times during her 19 month sabatical. Both times when she wasn't thinking straight because of the hour at which the conversation occured, when she should have been resting peacefully in bed.

At the end of her stint with the south she returned home and returned to FaceSpace to find that her first college romance was engaged to be married. This troubled her not at all, seeing as he appeared to have reached his prime at the ripe old age of 18 when she had him. She went about her business thinking not much of the boy.

A few months later she got on FaceSpace once again and stumbled upon his page where he had his profile picture set to that of him and his unfortunate lovely bride smooching away. The girl actually liked to look at peoples wedding pictures on FaceSpace. Mostly she judged them and took notes on what not to do if she ever finds the need to get hitched. As she was browsing through his albums, looking for said wedding pictures that were never found, she came across an album that made her stop and wonder and then laugh out loud.

Do you know what it was in said silly album the girl found? Pictures. Pictures of the boy and his new wife, before she was his wife, at the spot that the boy used to take the girl up the canyon. The same spot. And you know what else? It wasn't a coincidence. The girl did some investigative work and in about 45 seconds time she realized that there were many pictures of the two of them there at different times, unless they both had many changes of clothes with them and only made it look like they were there on different days. After the many pictures of the boy and his wife at the spot the boy used to take the girl, there were pictures of the boy and his wife at the cemetary. And pictures of the headstone of the person killed in cold blood with the family ready to avenge his death. The girl was positive that if it was possible to take a picture of the boy singing Love Songs After Dark, that would have been in there too.

For about .02 seconds the girl was offended that the boy would take his new girl, before she was his wife, to their spot. But then the girl realized how funny that actually was. Then the girl started to feel really sad for the wife that the boy would take his new girl now wife to a spot that he took other girls to. Maybe it's his favorite spot in the whole world to take girls to. Or maybe he just isn't smart enough to come up with something new. Any way you put it, the wife got jipped. The boy and the wife don't even have a spot because that spot in all the pictures? That belonged to the girl and the boy first.

Sorry wife.

Makes you question what else the boy has recycled, now doesn't it?

If you catch my drift.
