{the most smartest of all}

this is my roommate. she is my pal.
i was normal when we met, then she rubbed off on me.
cute, yes?

when you put two gals together who have a picture taking problem this is what you get:

the other night i was on my bed and she was on hers when the following discussion came up:
her: What if i have 7 kids while youre gone?
me: i would be very sad, because you would get married
her: but what if i dont get married?
me: you'll be like the octomom, only with seven
her: what do you call seven babies born at once?
me: i dont know, like... i dont know
(then we proceded to discuss all the options of what it would be called)
her: you know, like trituplets
me: you mean triplets?
yes, that is how we do things
and it makes me kind of happy that we are on the same intelligence scale

did you know that my pal is of a Jewish family?
dont believe me? check the nose

sometimes she kind of smells funny. sometimes i kind of smell funny.
but we live with it.

not many peeps get us. it really is a shame. but we dont mind because we know the truth:
RAD to the MAX

most days we fight. like a lot. usually over silly stuff like global warming. but sometimes its over really serious stuff like who's going to shower first and who wore who's socks.

but by the end of the day we generally look like this

excuse me while i go check her head for dandruff....

{presh}

This morning i woke up as usual (to coldplay serenading me with fix you). i jumped in the shower, out of the shower, did my hairs, got dressed, and came down stairs. i turned on the light and this is what i found:

fresh flowers and breakfast (and a cute little note wishing us all a splendid thursday)! Ash (you can read her blog here) is always so dang thoughtful! im current sitting here munching on an apple and homemade muffin, and washing it down with a caprisun. thats called 'starting the day off right' if you ask me. if you also asked me i would tell you that Ashleigh is pretty dang swell.

thanks Ash, you're the best!

{happy (roommate) christmas to all!}

incase you werent aware, Christmas is coming. seriously. get ready.
anyway, the gals and i wanted to do something special for the hollidays but since our respective homes are spread from one end of the country to the other we had to do it before we left for home. we decided a Roommate Christmas Morning would do the trick. but we couldnt just leave it at that, we had to go all. the. way.

it started with Ashleigh reading us The Night Before Christmas the nighte before our Christmas. crazy, i know. Gabs joined us in bed and here we are listening intently to the story. Abish was like sleeping or hateing on us or something, thats why she's not in the pic.
*jess and i pushed our beds together for some odd reason. however we still make our beds sepereatly. there would be SERIOUS problems if we shared blankets and stuff. she's always on my side as it is*

After the story was over Ash and Gabby departed and it was over to slumber land to dream of sugar plum fairies. i couldnt really fall asleep though because there was lots of banging around downstairs. it was the Roommate Christmas Elfs and Santa! They even cleaned the kitchen!

two weeks ago we added a little flair to some stockings to spice up our poor college student decorated apartment. it was a good thing we did so Santa would know who's was who!
when i came down stairs to our Roommate Christmas there were our stockings all lined up on the couch filled to the brim! what good roommate santa helpers we have!
full stockings AND a clean kitchen? doesnt get better than that.

My stocking inluded the following... fuzzy socks! mike&ikes with a funny saying ("is he tall?"(my roommates have a little obsession with: this), a cute christmas cup, playdough, and more candy than i knew what to do with! oh the joy!

while we were digging into the stockings breakfast was being made. breakfast burritos were on the menu and boy howdy! they were yummo! Here is Gabrielle preparing the cook

for the hollidays i made tyedyed pillowcases for the roommates. it was my first honest to goodness tyedying experience, and it was just that. quite the experience. Abish's didnt work quite like i wanted it to but here she is acting like she likes it anyway!

Jessica bought me this book. it will come in handy in the near future. heh.

and then i opened a nice looking box from Ashleigh. and boy did i get excited (see picture). do you want to know what was in it? two round cake pans. and then i saw THE BUNDT PAN! and i couldnt contain myself! it was all just too much! did you know that i love to bake? i do i do! and now i love it even more! i cant wait to get my bake on with these bad boys!

what a lovely Roommate Christmas it was!

This fine evening one of the roommates and i went to see another roommate perform in our little institutes very own production of The Forgotten Carols (love). It was so good, except the rendetion of Homeless which was more than a little dissapointing (i watch Homeless over and over on the DVD so i was a little devistated to say the least). other than that little bit it was a good time. The Innkeepers song was unreal. seriously. as was I Cannot Find My Way/Three Kings. and of course during I Cry the Day I Take the Tree Down i wanted to stand up and sing right along (only because its a fantastic song, not that i actually cry). I wish I could go to the real thing, but alas i have this thing called finals i have to participate in next week. everyone, could i get a collected "BOO!" for finals? Thank you. anywho, why we're really here: In honor of the Christmas Season and because I love singing along to all the songs, I have updated my playlist to The Forgotten Carols. Please enjoy responsibly.
