{the most smartest of all}

this is my roommate. she is my pal.
i was normal when we met, then she rubbed off on me.
cute, yes?

when you put two gals together who have a picture taking problem this is what you get:

the other night i was on my bed and she was on hers when the following discussion came up:
her: What if i have 7 kids while youre gone?
me: i would be very sad, because you would get married
her: but what if i dont get married?
me: you'll be like the octomom, only with seven
her: what do you call seven babies born at once?
me: i dont know, like... i dont know
(then we proceded to discuss all the options of what it would be called)
her: you know, like trituplets
me: you mean triplets?
yes, that is how we do things
and it makes me kind of happy that we are on the same intelligence scale

did you know that my pal is of a Jewish family?
dont believe me? check the nose

sometimes she kind of smells funny. sometimes i kind of smell funny.
but we live with it.

not many peeps get us. it really is a shame. but we dont mind because we know the truth:
RAD to the MAX

most days we fight. like a lot. usually over silly stuff like global warming. but sometimes its over really serious stuff like who's going to shower first and who wore who's socks.

but by the end of the day we generally look like this

excuse me while i go check her head for dandruff....

{sheeshters}

remember how they were coming? well they came. and then they left. but we did some stuff inbetween. here's a documentations of those events.
Friday was a day used for shopping and naps. and more shopping. and food.... mmmmm food!
Saturday was a day for serious shopping. it put Fridays shopping to shame. Tate bought me some rad pink gogs and some new swim attire. and Mag bought me some clothes. and then we had In N Out. i love In N Out, i try not to eat there too much because people die when i do (no, seriously) but everyones life was spared on Saturday.
then on the Holy Day we drove ourselfs out to the middle of nowhere to look at rocks. i have compiled a picture essay for your viewing pleasure:

first stop: to throw snowballs at eachother and climb on big mounds of snow and stuff.

there was a sign while we were driving that said TUNNELS AHEAD! and i got so so excited because i love tunnels. but then i saw the "tunnels". dont you worry, we honked all the way through it.

then we went to this place you might have heard of called Bryce Canyon. its kind of off the beaten bath so i'll understand if you've never in your life heard of such a place. not. anywho, it was quite chilly

but not chilly enough to keep us from snapping some fotos. here we are. arent we just cute as can be?

but then we saw our "friends" and i was afraid for my life. and the life of all the rocks. they could have blown the place right to smitherines. this is our "oh no! not the new friends!" picture.

this is Katherine and Meg. they are my best friends, even when they are terribly mean to me. they provided me with m&m's and Dorritos for the long car ride.

while we were there we contimplated the rocks and had seriously deep conversations. waoh.

and we took lots of pretty pictures! this was my favorite place, Natural Bridge. its a joy.

Then Meeegan and i had a contest to see who could throw a snowball onto a very small rock. dont worry, i totally let her win.

but then she got tired from all the throwing so i had to give her a piggy back all the way back to the car. boy o boy am i one tuff cookie!
and then we left because it was getting late.

THE END!

we're totally going national park hopping this summer if you want to come.

{they're coming! they're coming}

1 hour, 14 minutes, 37 seconds

are you excited? because i sure am!

{I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaack!}

did you miss me? cause i totally missed you!
sorry i left so abruptly. we were doing this thing called a media fast for missionary week at the institution. our tv stayed off for like 6 whole days. waoh.
but enought about that. we have some serious catching up to do.
want to know what i did this week while i was away? i shall tell you:

in honor of the media fast we only listened to music that was uplifting and joyful.
after exhausting the resources we got down to business with some serious southern gospel singers.
i present to you Selah. they are AMAZING! all sorts of Hallelujahs going on there.
you can check out one of my favorite songs here

i also took up swimming in hopes of becoming the next Wendy Peppercorn. for realsies.
if you want something good to laugh at join me at the pool @6am. i'll be there.

I made my very first fondant cake and boy, was it yumm-o!
nothing is better than cutting in to a pretty cake only to find an even prettier fun fetti!

my feet shrunk to midget size.
jk. i just happened to put my chacos next to the giant mr banks' shoes. it made me laugh so i took a picture to show you!

i did more chemistry than i have ever done in my whole entire life. and i think i get it
(knock on wood)
i'll let you know how my test goes on monday.

HotPockets went on sale for 3/$2 and we stocked up.
you would not imagine the number of HotPockets being cooked in this house.

i think i broke my second metarsal, but that has yet to be confirmed.
and i have an earache that feels more like an ear infections. thats yet to be confirmed as well.

I did some serious ChemLab work with my buddy/roommate Gabby.
we are SO good at ChemLab, we totally kick boo-tay!
(thats a bunson burner in the background. im not sure who let the two of us do such dangerous things but we totally got it going on the first try. clear flame and all. it was sweet.)

i had a bought with a nasty stomache bug but luckily it only lasted one day
and my FRoomie, Jessica bought me cinnamon bears AND made my bed.
i'll tell you what, she's one of a kind.

and my bed fell of the cinderblocks. while i was on it.
and all Jessica did was laugh. and then laughed some more.
it really wasnt that funny but i forgave her because of aforementioned kindness.
and she helped me put it back .

what did you do while i was gone? anything exciting?
i totally want to know all about it. so please, enlighten me.
but now i must depart to prepare myself for the
BREAK THE MEDIA FAST DANCE!

{sister shoutout}

everyone, this is Katie.
isnt she just beautiful?

she totally is. and if you dont think so you are a bum.
Katie is so nice and generous. this picture was taken this past fall in st george. i was having a rough time so she came down to see me and boy did we have fun!
she is so nice, she always worries about my sanity and what i need
and is also very nice to our other sister. she takes her places and does things with her too.
one day she took me to the Olive Garden for soup, salad, and breadsticks.
it was probably the funnest time ever.
she also buys me a lot of things that i think i need. like candy. and clothes. and sometimes shoes.
not only is Katie beautiful and outrageously nice but she is also VERY smart.
did you know that she is an accountant?
she does smart things all the day long.
she graduated top of her class (i presume)
she is very good at doing my taxes, especially around this time of year.
doing my taxes makes her not only smart but also very beautiful and very very nice.
isnt she the BEST sister to do such a thing for me?
i thought so too!

{happy (roommate) christmas to all!}

incase you werent aware, Christmas is coming. seriously. get ready.
anyway, the gals and i wanted to do something special for the hollidays but since our respective homes are spread from one end of the country to the other we had to do it before we left for home. we decided a Roommate Christmas Morning would do the trick. but we couldnt just leave it at that, we had to go all. the. way.

it started with Ashleigh reading us The Night Before Christmas the nighte before our Christmas. crazy, i know. Gabs joined us in bed and here we are listening intently to the story. Abish was like sleeping or hateing on us or something, thats why she's not in the pic.
*jess and i pushed our beds together for some odd reason. however we still make our beds sepereatly. there would be SERIOUS problems if we shared blankets and stuff. she's always on my side as it is*

After the story was over Ash and Gabby departed and it was over to slumber land to dream of sugar plum fairies. i couldnt really fall asleep though because there was lots of banging around downstairs. it was the Roommate Christmas Elfs and Santa! They even cleaned the kitchen!

two weeks ago we added a little flair to some stockings to spice up our poor college student decorated apartment. it was a good thing we did so Santa would know who's was who!
when i came down stairs to our Roommate Christmas there were our stockings all lined up on the couch filled to the brim! what good roommate santa helpers we have!
full stockings AND a clean kitchen? doesnt get better than that.

My stocking inluded the following... fuzzy socks! mike&ikes with a funny saying ("is he tall?"(my roommates have a little obsession with: this), a cute christmas cup, playdough, and more candy than i knew what to do with! oh the joy!

while we were digging into the stockings breakfast was being made. breakfast burritos were on the menu and boy howdy! they were yummo! Here is Gabrielle preparing the cook

for the hollidays i made tyedyed pillowcases for the roommates. it was my first honest to goodness tyedying experience, and it was just that. quite the experience. Abish's didnt work quite like i wanted it to but here she is acting like she likes it anyway!

Jessica bought me this book. it will come in handy in the near future. heh.

and then i opened a nice looking box from Ashleigh. and boy did i get excited (see picture). do you want to know what was in it? two round cake pans. and then i saw THE BUNDT PAN! and i couldnt contain myself! it was all just too much! did you know that i love to bake? i do i do! and now i love it even more! i cant wait to get my bake on with these bad boys!

what a lovely Roommate Christmas it was!

{and the skies are not cloudy all day}

actually the skies were cloudy, very cloudy. i even thought it was going to snow. but it didnt.

instead the day held a baby shower for our cousin, a trip to the cemetary, lunch, and a trip to Ikea.

the baby shower was very fun. its always nice to see the fam we dont get to see very often. although i was dubbed a bad cousin for missing my other cousins baby blessing like a year ago. seriously. all in good fun, right? i hope so. this baby is going to be born January 14th at 4:26am, weighing in at 8lbs 6oz and a long 22". at least thats my guess. i hope there are prizes for the winner :)

when we got to the cemetary there was a service being held just a down the hill from grandmas view. i wanted to see how the got the caskets in the grave so we stuck around to watch. after all the mourners there were gone the vault guy came and did something to the platform the casket was sitting on and started to take the chair covers off. i looked over at katie to tell her something and looked back and the casket was gone. we totally missed it! i guess the green thing they sit on just lowers it down on it. the only other time i have seen a cofin be lowered into the ground was at my grandpas funeral when i was a wee thing. i remember we were all standing around watching when they rigged it up with ropes and started lowering it in the grave. then nate and a man in a UPS uniform jumped down in to make sure to got in safely. im still not sure how two men and a cofin all fit in one grave but they did. nate and the UPS man got out and then we were supposed to sprinkle dirt. my little cousin picked up a rock and chucked it in. it hit the cofin and bounced off and my uncle said "take that grandpa". it was funny. anyway, back to the origional story. so the straps just lowered it in while the guy was taking the chair covers off. im not sure how they get the straps out from under the casket but they do somehow. its very interesting. i stood around for a little while longer while everyone else waited in the car (they dont like going there. i do). we left a wreathe made of branches off grandmas tree. it was nice. next time im taking some compressed air so i can do a better job cleaning it off. seriously.

after a jont through the valley we went to megans where she had two presents waiting for me. one was a ring with my name carved in it, just incase i forget what it is someday. i think its very cool. im wearing it right as we speak. she also gave me another present but i cant disclose what it it. i'll post a picture of it later. its awesome. then my mom took us to lunch, which was just as delicious as ever. at ikea i got a presant for a roommate. i would tell you what that is too but she's probably reading it right now. alas, you'll have to wait on that one too.

and do you want to know what happened next? this:

i went to dinner with my good friends Katie and Kara. These girls are a riot! we had way way too much fun! Katie got free icecream, that i ate all of, because she told the waiter (hot) we were celebrating her birthday... in september. haha. we had a serious gossip session and just laughed and laughed and told stories and laughed some more. it was so fun and i cant wait to play with them again! oh christmas break cant come fast enough!

its been just a stupendous break of thanks and im sad about having to leave tomorow. just two more weeks and we'll be back for more fun!
